Diverse Education Leaders Pipeline Initiative | Commission Diverse Education Leaders Pipeline Initiative The California state budget signed by the Governor in September 2023 includes $10 million from funding appropriated in Provision 3 of Item 6100-488 of the Budget Act of 2023 for the Diverse Education Leaders Pipeline Initiative (DELPI) Grant Program.
A one-time grant award of up to $30,000 per participating administrator candidate are available to Local Education Agencies (LEAs) interested in securing grant funding to support eligible participants to pursue an administrative services credential.
The purpose of the grant program is to train, place, and retain diverse and culturally responsive administrators in transitional kindergarten, kindergarten, and grades 1 to 12, inclusive, to improve pupil outcomes and meet the needs of California’s education workforce. This funding shall be available for encumbrance until June 30, 2027.

Announcement of the 2023 Diverse Education Leaders Pipeline Initiative Grant Program Annual Data Submission Information As part of the mandatory data collection and reporting requirement for the DELPI grant, LEA grantee must provide all requested data to the Commission’s for evaluation and reporting.
Please carefully read the information below on how to access and complete the data spreadsheet, and additional resources. Data submission is due on Friday, July 17, 2026, by 5:00PM. The individually shared spreadsheet is managed by the Commission and the data will be updated annually by the LEA grantee lead during the life of the grant.
Do not create and share a new spreadsheet with the Commission- it will not be reviewed. Annual Data Submission: When the data is updated on or before July 17, 2026, by 5:00PM, please email DELPIGrant@ctc. ca.
gov to confirm that the data is updated. Support sessions will be offered the one Tuesday of each month, 2:30PM-3:30PM. Office hours are drop-in, free flow, and no RSVP is required.
