Division of Boating and Waterways 2026 Boating Infrastructure Grant

Division of Boating and Waterways Aquatic Center Boating Safety Education Grant FY26 is sponsored by Department of Parks and Recreation. Provide boating safety education to the general public. These grants are available to organizations that offer on-the-water boating safety education courses. Courses offered should be designed to enhance boater knowledge of boating laws, practical handling of vessels on the water, weather and water conditions, rules of the road, and equipment requirements.

Statewide Park Development and Community Revitalization Program (SPP) – Round 5 – Proposition 4 is sponsored by Department of Parks and Recreation. The Statewide Park Development and Community Revitalization Program (SPP) that helps support the acquisition and development of new parks and the renovation or expansion of existing parks in critically underserved and climate-vulnerable communities. Grant Description: Helps support the acquisition and development of new parks and the renovation or expansion of existing parks in critically underserved and climate-vulnerable communities. Deadline: Applications must be submitted online by December 17, 2026. Grant Amount per Application: • Maximum grant request: $8,500,000 • Minimum grant request: $200,000 No Match. Eligible Applicants: Cities, Counties, Districts, Joint Powers Authorities, and Non-profits organizations. Eligible Costs: Acquisition of land, pre-construction (design, permits, etc.) and construction costs. The grant may pay for 100% of total project cost. If the project requires additional funds beyond the grant request, those additional funds must be committed at the time of application. Otherwise, the applicant should scale the project down to a phase that can be completed and open to the public with the grant by itself or grant plus committed funds. Projects in economically disadvantaged communities with a lack of parks are prioritized. Parks designed with community residents' ideas through community-based planning and partnerships with health organizations are encouraged. Division of Boating and Waterways Local Assistance Statewide Sign Grant Program FY27 is sponsored by Department of Parks and Recreation. Provide resources to replace or install signs at DBW funded boat launching facilities. The Statewide Sign Grant Program installs and replaces signs for previously funded Boating and Waterways projects that are either obsolete, display incorrect information, are badly worn and unattractive, are missing or damaged, are needed for safety, or are required as a condition of receiving federal funds.

Boating Access Grant Program (Utah) is sponsored by Utah Division of Outdoor Recreation (Federal funds administered by state). The Boating Access (BA) grant program provides federal funds for facilities that create or improve public access for recreational boating opportunities throughout Utah. This program aims to enhance and maintain waterway accessibility while educating recreational boaters about environmental considerations. Projects include renovation of existing facilities and implementation of essential boating infrastructure such as ramps, courtesy docks, and support facilities. Eligible activities include planning, permitting, design, construction, administration, and coordination of boating access programs, as well as amenities for boaters.
