Dual Language Funding Award (Dual Language Designation) is sponsored by Washington State Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF). This funding supports multilingual learning and Tribal language revitalization for early learning programs in Washington. It is part of the Dual Language Designation, which recognizes early learning programs that support children learning in more than one language.
Funds can be used for paying bilingual staff, training and professional development, paid planning time, culturally and linguistically appropriate curriculum, and classroom materials.

Programs must also earn the Dual Language Designation and be at Quality Level 3+ or higher in Early Achievers. Priority is given to Tribal language programs, communities with limited child care access, low-income communities, rural communities, communities with high poverty or child welfare needs, and communities with a high percentage of children of color.
