and Velma Lunt Wallace Foundation’s mission is to support a wide variety of tax-exempt, charitable organizations primarily in the Wichita, Kansas area, and secondarily in the State of Kansas, in the categories of: Arts and Culture, Education, Community Development and Enhancement, Social Services and Needs, and Quality of Life. Giving back was always the goal that Dwane and Velma Wallace had in mind.

It took the former Cessna president a total of one hour and forty-five minutes of training before he made his first-ever solo flight in a powered aircraft. It took even less time for Dwane and his wife, Velma, to know that they wanted to establish a foundation to give back to the Wichita Community that they so loved.
