Through research, advocacy and targeted investments, the Early Childhood Initiative strengthens the systems that support children’s healthy development and that help families thrive. By partnering with providers and organizations across the region to increase the availability of affordable care , improve the quality of care and support the workforce that makes early learning possible.

The Early Childhood Initiative helps to: Support Children's Well-Being Expand access to safe, nurturing early care and education that supports healthy development and prepares children for success in school and beyond. Increase Access to Early Education Work with partners to increase the availability of affordable, high-quality childcare options, especially in communities furthest from opportunity.
