Professional Development Scholarships # Professional development scholarships The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) is in the process of procuring a new statewide entity to administer the Early Childhood Professional Development Scholarships (ECPDS) program. Through ECPDS, child care teachers can access scholarships to support their professional development in the early childhood education field.
ECPDS provides scholarships for the Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, registered apprenticeship programs, associate’s degrees, and bachelor’s degrees. ECPDS supports the quality improvement of early learning programs while also helping those programs retain well-qualified staff. TWC anticipates a grant agreement with the new statewide entity in June 2026.
