EAS Participant Fund grants

EAS Participant Fund grants is sponsored by PATH Intl.. This fund provides grants to PATH Intl. Premier Accredited Centers to offer various equine-assisted services, including therapeutic/adaptive riding, hippotherapy, vaulting, driving, equine-assisted psychotherapy, or equine-assisted learning, to participants.

Premier Accredited Grants & Scholarships | PATH Intl Secure funding assistance for your centers, staff and participants. PATH Intl. Premier Accredited Centers, center members and individual members have access to a variety of opportunities through PATH Intl.

To provide support to centers to assist a participant who would not otherwise be able to participate in an equine-assisted services program at a PATH Intl. Premier Accredited Center. ELIGIBILITY FOR FUND DISTRIBUTION: Any PATH Intl.

Premier Accredited Center in good standing with a participant who needs financial assistance is eligible. The EAS Participant Fund grants can fund any type of equine-assisted services including therapeutic/adaptive riding, hippotherapy, vaulting, driving, equine-assisted psychotherapy, or equine-assisted learning. GUIDELINES IN DISTRIBUTING FUNDS: Once a year, an EAS Participant Fund application notice will be sent to PATH Intl.

Premier Accredited Centers. Funds will be awarded no later than December 31st. 100% of the actual cost of the service may be requested.

The Center must provide information on calculating the actual cost. After a center is awarded a grant, the center must wait two years before applying for another EAS Participant Fund grant. To be eligible for further grants, the center must complete a progress report form at the end of the grant year, one year from the date of grant award.

The review panel requests, but does not require, a testimonial from the participant, or from the guardians of the child, who benefited from the grant. PROCESS FOR DISTRIBUTING MONIES FROM FUND: A center will complete the EAS Participant Fund Application form for the desired funds. Awards will be made for up to 100% of the actual cost of the service.

Limit of $1,000 per participant per grant. If the participant drops out of the program, PATH Intl. is to be informed.

ADMINISTRATION OF THE FUND: The fund will be administered by the PATH Intl. Chief Executive Officer who will periodically report on fund management and distributions to the Board of Trustees, Finance Committee, donors and PATH Intl. membership.

A review panel will be selected, from the Board of Trustees, each year to review the applicants and make recommendations. Funds will be invested according to the PATH Intl. Investment Policy.

Designated funds will be placed in the EAS Participant Fund. Funds can be merged with another PATH Intl. restricted fund upon a vote of the PATH Intl.

Board of Trustees and, whenever possible, informing the original fund donor of transfer. PATH Intl. Centers and Premier Accredited Centers in good standing may apply for disaster relief to help restore equine and human well-being after a disaster.

Approval of financial assistance is based on available funding, the application submitted, and the type of disaster reported. Requests for disaster relief will be presented to the Disaster Relief Fund Committee for grant consideration. If the committee approves the request for assistance, a member of the committee will notify the center of the award amount.

Then, a PATH Intl. Accounting staff member will facilitate the distribution of funds to the center based on the approved amount. After funds are received, the center must submit a report for committee review detailing how the funds were utilized.

Center Members and Premier Accredited Centers in Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, Maryland, New York and New Jersey These grants will be used to improve access to equine-assisted services by providing financial support for credentialing and training leading to credentialing as well as financial aid for EAS participants at the full program cost up to $150 per lesson/session. PATH Intl.

Center Members are eligible to receive $10,000 over 2 years ($5,000/year). PATH Intl. Premier Accredited Centers are eligible to receive $20,000 over 2 years ($10,000/year).

The Access Grant Program will accept applications beginning on March 2, 2026. Grant funds will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis for qualified applicants. Applicants are strongly encouraged to apply as early as possible to ensure consideration while funds are available.

The deadline for application is June 30, 2026, however all funds may be distributed prior to the deadline.

More Information and Application PATH International Kathy C. Wile Memorial Scholarship Fund The purpose of this fund is to assist PATH Intl. members, who have a need to complete PATH Intl.

’s Online Mentor Training Course in order to expand the number of formally trained mentors available. The scholarship will fund a one-time enrollment in the course. Priority will be given to members from region 1.

PATH Intl. ’s Online Mentor Training Course is not specifically made to help guide a specific certification process. This course is to help give a new mentor the tools they need to help guide a mentee through any certification process.

Upon the completion of this course, you will receive the designation of PATH Intl. Mentor. If you are looking to supervise a CTRI, this course is not required, but encouraged as it will add to their tool belt to improve the certification experience.

Scholarship recipients must agree to promote this scholarship in order to bring awareness to the importance of skilled mentoring, the therapeutic horsemanship industry, to PATH Intl. , and to your center. Please complete this form if you wish to apply.

PATH International Equine Services for Heroes ® PATH Intl. & Wounded Warrior Project, Inc. Reimbursement Program PATH Intl. is pleased to announce our continued partnership with Wounded Warrior Project ® , Inc (WWP).

WWP has made a significant grant to PATH Intl. for the purpose of awarding scholarships for equine-assisted services (EAS) to WWP veterans. PATH Intl.

Premier Accredited Centers (PACs) currently serving post 9/11 veteran participants are encouraged to have them register with WWP. In addition to becoming part of a network that exists to empower and honor its veterans, current Premier Accredited Center participants who register with WWP may be eligible for scholarship reimbursement. Must be a PATH Intl.

Premier Accredited Center to receive funding. If you are in the process of accreditation, reach out to our Grants department at to inquire about early acceptance. Application is open year-round.

Funds may be used for Wounded Warrior Project, Inc. registered Warriors who have received a referral through the Wounded Warrior Project, Inc. Resource Center. A referral represents approval for up to 10 sessions. Equine-assisted services will be reimbursed at $85/hour session.

Equine-assisted psychotherapy (sessions facilitated by a licensed mental health professional) will be reimbursed at $150/hour session. No penalty for unused funds. This funding request is solely intended for reimbursement to PATH Intl.

Premier Accredited Centers in good standing who are serving registered wounded warriors. The reimbursement rate is $85/hour session for equine-assisted services (EAS), and $150/hour session for equine-assisted psychotherapy/equine-assisted counseling (EAP/EAC) facilitated by a licensed mental health professional. Each participant’s referral represents approval for reimbursement of up to ten (10) sessions.
