Economic Development Grant — Regional Planning Commission of Greater Birmingham Economic Development Grant Program The Advance Greater Birmingham – Economic Development Grant (EDG) supports local economic and community development projects within RPCGB’s six-county service area. This program helps fund initiatives that build local capacity and align with regional goals. RPCGB is not currently accepting applications to this program.

org . The funding priorities for this program correlate with the goals identified in the Advance Greater Birmingham – Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) for 2023 – 2028 . In the application, the applicant must identify which of the four funding priorities the project will support: Workforce Development & Retention: Build, attract, or retain a skilled, adaptable workforce.
Business Climate & Entrepreneurship: Support businesses, start-up firms and entrepreneurs. Infrastructure: Modernize infrastructure to meet population and industry growth. Full requests must show strong local impact.
Funds cannot be used for: - Other items deemed ineligible by RPCGB Grantees must submit a final report upon completion of the project.
