gov / U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Statutorily Or Congressionally Mandated Information FY2024 Economic Development Initiative - Community Project Funding Grants Fiscal Year 2024 Economic Development Initiative / Community Project Funding Grants Overview: FY24 Community Project Funding (CPF) The FY2024 Appropriations Act allocated approximately $3. 3 billion for 2,407 congressionally directed grants.
Grantees must adhere to specific federal mandates to remain eligible for funding: Administrative Standards : All grants must follow 2 CFR Part 200 (Uniform Guidance) for audits, cost principles, and administrative requirements. Environmental Compliance : Projects are subject to NEPA and HUD regulations (24 CFR Part 50/58). You must complete an environmental review before obligating funds.
BABA Update : HUD issued a Phased Implementation Waiver, so BABA applies differently depending on the fiscal year in which the CPF grant was awarded: FY22 and FY23 CPF grants: BABA does not apply. FY24 CPF grants: BABA applies to iron and steel materials only. Detailed explanations of definitions, available waivers, and compliance requirements are available in CPD Notice 25-01.
