EDGE Grants is a grant competition from the Delaware Division of Small Business that funds STEM-based and non-STEM small businesses in Delaware to expand viability and sustainability. STEM-track businesses can receive up to $100,000 (from a $750,000 pool) and non-STEM Entrepreneur-track businesses up to $50,000 (from a $400,000 pool), with funding provided as a 3-to-1 state match.
Eligible businesses must be majority located in Delaware, in operation less than 7 years, have 15 or fewer full-time employees, and hold less than $700,000 in assets. Applications are judged on competitive advantage, business viability, job creation, and revenue growth potential. Grant funding must be used for market analysis or business expansion activities.

There are nine Entrepreneur category finalists and eight STEM category finalists. One hundred twenty-three individuals applied for this round of EDGE, the thirteenth since the program’s launch.

STEM (Science/technology/engineering/math)-based companies and Entrepreneur Class (non-STEM) businesses are eligible for funding. The funds are provided as a $3 (state) to $1 (business) match.
