The Hearst Foundations offer educational and cultural grants of $50,000 or more to established U.S. nonprofit organizations with 501(c)(3) status and substantial institutional capacity. Funding supports large-scale educational initiatives and cultural programs that deliver significant community benefit, with a focus on underserved youth populations. Applications are submitted exclusively through the Hearst Foundations Grants Portal.
Organizations must demonstrate institutional strength and alignment with Hearst's priority areas. Due to competitive thresholds, start-ups and small organizations are generally not eligible. Separate regional contacts serve applicants east and west of the Mississippi River.
