The EHA Advanced Research Grant is a type of EHA Research Grant , which can provide up to €240,000 for three years .
Your institute is an academic research center or proven equivalent in Europe You have the support of an academic department and institute Your application relates to basic and translational lab-based research in hematology Your application will not be eligible if it relates to: Purely clinical research projects Projects in health economics Other non-lab-based research However, it may be eligible if it relates to the translational part of a clinical trial.
In this case, it must be both relevant and novel.
Specific criteria for the EHA Advanced Research Grant Our Advanced Research Grant is suitable for researchers who: Are currently carrying out basic or translational lab-based research in hematology Received a PhD or PharmD less than eight years before the closing date listed above Have at least one first author publication If you received your PhD or PharmD outside of this timeframe, please check our policy on life events .
If this policy applies to you, you can ask us to extend the period of eligibility. Topics-in-Focus Research Grants: If your research focuses on hemoglobinopathies, you will have a competitive advantage in the selection process. Please select the ‘Topics-in-Focus Advanced Research Grant’ on your application form.
Extending the reach of our grants: If you are operating in countries less-represented among EHA grantees, you will have a competitive advantage in the selection process. Applicants, who received their PhD or PharmD more than eight years before the closing date, are also eligible.
