Enhanced mobility of seniors and individuals with disabilities (5310) program Enhanced mobility of seniors and individuals with disabilities (5310) program Enhanced mobility of seniors and individuals with disabilities program The Enhanced Mobility of Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities Program ( 49 USC, Section 5310 ) is also known as the FTA 5310 Program.
The program: promotes the development and maintenance of a network of transportation services for seniors and individuals with disabilities throughout the state, in partnership with local stakeholders promotes public transportation projects that decrease the reliance of individuals with disabilities on ADA complementary paratransit services provides technical assistance to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and safety of 5310 transit providers Enhanced Mobility of Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities grants are awarded to nonprofit organizations, and local public entities serving rural (under 50,000 population) and small urban (population of less than 200,000) areas.
Private taxi companies that provide shared-ride taxi services to the public or to special categories of users (such as seniors or individuals with disabilities) on a regular basis are also eligible recipients. Email Texas Department of Transportation
