Elevate for Podcasters — leveraging the power of entertainment to destigmatize disability Elevate Collective for Podcasters Created to support professional disabled podcasters with the funding, mentorship, equipment, and accommodations they need to level-up their careers. This 2023 capsule program provided the first grants specifically created for disabled, narrative fiction and non-fiction podcasters.

The program offered eight (8), $12,500 grants that disabled creatives used for professional development, show marketing, equipment, accommodations, IP licensing and living expenses. Professional Development Grant $12,500 in funding for professional development, accommodations, podcasting equipment, living expenses, etc. Check-ins with the Inevitable Foundation team to provide ongoing support and feedback.

Community Building Events Regular events for members to meet their peers and build community with other disabled creatives. Members of Elevate for Podcasters Jessie (she/her) is a podcast host and software engineer passionate about democratizing the tech industry. Chad (he/him) is a freelance children's media writer and podcast producer who likes to joke that he gets to be nice for a living.

Bibi (they/them) is a poet and performance-maker whose work focuses on queerness, climate justice, and post-apocalyptic stories. Sarah Kaufman & Shane Dittmar Sarah Kaufman & Shane Dittmar (also known as They & Them) are a disabled, nonbinary musical theatre and audio drama writing team. Anna (she/her) has built a fiction podcast career out of pipe cleaners, hot glue, and used computer parts.

rado. Sara (she/her) is a Brooklyn-based writer and audio producer from Boulder, Colorado. Lou (she/her) is a British-Ghanaian audio-maker, producer, and founder of Shade Podcast, who has carved out a space all her own in audio.

Ella (she/her) is a multi-award winning writer, director, and producer whose body of work is an explosion of radically inclusive storytelling.
