Critical. Relief. Our financial and childcare assistance programs are designed to help veterans maintain stability and achieve professional goals by providing stipends for rent, utilities, and other costs during periods of transition.
## Financial Assistance Program We support working and student women veterans during periods of transition by investing in their success. We know that working and student veterans struggle with high housing costs, childcare expenses, or unexpected financial setbacks during the military to civilian transition. Our financial and childcare assistance programs are designed to help veterans maintain stability and achieve professional goals.
Our Financial Assistance program provides women veterans with financial education and the urgent and critical relief they need to maintain housing stability and serves as a safety net during periods of transition. Foundation for Women Warriors provides financial & childcare assistance programs to women veterans (and their children) who have been honorably discharged from the United States Military.
Eligibility for our **financial & childcare assistance programs** requires: * An honorable (or general) discharge from the U.S. Military. * Must be employed (active and verifiable employment) and/or enrolled in higher education (college or certificate program). *Unemployed veterans must work with an FFWW approved partner organization to seek work.
* Demonstrate financial need. * Current resident of California, Virginia, New York, or New Jersey. **Eligibility is the first step in our financial assistance program application process.
Those who demonstrate gross financial mismanagement and/or extreme debt, will be referred to ongoing financial counseling. ** ### To Receive Assistance If you’re unsure whether you are eligible, we encourage you to inquire. Our team will review your situation and connect you to the best resource available to meet your current needs.
