Emergency Grant Program is sponsored by Madison County Community Foundation. This program supports nonprofits in Madison County, Illinois, with unexpected expenses that impact their ability to meet their mission. It helps organizations manage unbudgeted, unforeseen, and time-sensitive emergencies.

Grants — Madison County Community Foundation The Madison County Community Foundation has been providing funding to our community since 1992. The funds originate from donor advised funds, agency endowments, scholarships and other types of restricted funds. In addition, grants to community organizations are also supported through competitive grants awarded from unrestricted funds in the Foundation.

We create our primary impact through our grantmaking. MCCF currently manages over 200 charitable funds created by individuals, families, businesses and organizations for charitable purposes. Income from these funds annually provides grants to organizations and projects and programs to improve the quality of life within our community.

MCCF provides meaningful, long-term and permanent ways for people to give back to their community and to causes and organizations that matter to them. Grants are made to support nonprofit agencies located in or serving residents of Madison County for: · Expansion of Program or Project · Capital Improvement or Project New program funding requests are not eligible for this cycle.

Agencies who aren’t applying for Elevate Madison Agencies whose fiscal year or programming timeline does not align with Impact Madison timeline Arts, Culture, and History, Health and Human Services, Thriving Community (animal welfare, community development, neighborhood revitalization, etc.) Application Window: March 2-March 31 Review Window: April 6-24 Funding requests up to $5,000 Grants are made to support nonprofit agencies located in or serving residents of Madison County for: Expansion of Program or Project Capital Improvement or Project Agencies who didn’t receive an Elevate Madison grant Agencies who didn’t apply for a Spring Impact Madison grant Arts, Culture, and History, Health and Human Services, Thriving Community (animal welfare, community development, neighborhood revitalization, etc.) Application Window: July 20-August 14 Review Window: August 24-September 11 Grant Offers: September 17 Engage Grants offer funding for first-time grantees and organizations with projects that positively impact our community’s well-being.

An Emergency Grant can help an organization manage an unbudgeted, unforeseen, and time-sensitive emergency. Organizations may only receive one emergency grant per calendar year. Organizations may not eligible if you received an emergency grant in 2025.

Following proper acknowledgement procedures is a factor in grant decision-making.

The Impact Madison Fund is a permanent fund that helps MCCF meet emerging local needs through strategic grantmaking to our nonprofit partners. Grants from this fund reflect Madison County's unique people, issues, and ideas. The Impact Madison Fund helps us support long-term solutions, respond quickly to emergencies, and meet the changing social, cultural, and educational needs our community faces.

Impact Madison Grants: Grants are made to support projects and programs of non-profit agencies located in or serving residents of Madison County in the following focus areas: Arts, Culture, and History, Health and Human Services, Education, Thriving Community (animal welfare, recreation, parks, etc.) , and Women and Children.

Proposals are reviewed by a diverse committee made up of community volunteers and Board Members, which makes funding recommendations to the Foundation Board of Directors. Upon approval by the Board of Directors, funds are awarded. Women in Philanthropy Grants Each year, the Madison County Community Foundation awards grants to nonprofit organizations with projects that specifically benefit women and children in Madison County.
