Who is eligible for funding? 1) have or maintain a strong connection to the Southeast (GA, AL, SC, NC, TN) - if not currently residing, please share your connection in the application. 2) not currently be enrolled in a degree giving program 3) have 2+ years of experience in their chosen field 4) be 21+ and a legal citizen of the U.S. We can fulfill project grant requests up to $500 and Emergency grant requests up to $1000.
Each month we distribute $500 of funding to artists - if we receive multiple applications, partial grants may be distributed based off of available funding. How often are grants given? Grants will be given on a monthly basis until funds are depleted.
We give out a total of $500/month in Project Grants and Emergency Grant funding is more variable. All applications submitted after the 1st of the month will be considered the following month. All applicants will be notified of the status of their request by the first week of the month following the submission of their application.
Rejected applicants are encouraged to reach out for feedback and resubmit in the future. What qualifies as an emergency expense? Emergency Grants are aimed at covering expenses related to unexpected and sudden disasters that significantly impact your ability to access your studio practice.
Disaster events: Fires, floods, hurricanes, earthquakes, and other acts of nature. Emergency events: Theft, accidents, injuries, and major illness. Our grants are aimed at providing the funds to directly impact the completion of a creative project.
While we would love to be able to support living expenses, we cannot. Some types of requests we are not able to fulfill are listed below: Low sales or poor marketplace/festival/fair turnout Routine/ordinary dental work or medical care Routine/ordinary car maintenance or repairs Remodeling/capital improvements Immigration and visa fees What qualifies as a project grant request?
Grant requests should be limited in scope to expenses that materially affect your ability to complete a project or show and have come up suddenly. Travel expenses (including air travel, lodging, transportation) Materials for completing a project Framing, shipping, packaging, photographing work. Promoting your work through printed materials.
Unexpected loss of funding through other avenues If your application was rejected, please do try again. If your request was granted, we ask that you wait 1 year from the application date to apply again to give others the opportunity to apply. You may - one person should submit the application under their name, and the team should be noted in the project description.
When do I need to use the money? These grants are intended for projects that have incurred unexpected expenses, ideally a project that is ongoing and will be completed sometime within the next 3 months. If you are applying for a grant to fund an element of a project that has yet to be completed, please share that deadline in your application.

Jerome Early-Career Project Grants is a grant from Forecast Public Art, funded by the Jerome Foundation, that funds the creation of new public art projects by early-career artists based in Minnesota. Two grants of $8,000 each are awarded annually to support temporary or permanent public artworks anywhere in Minnesota. Projects may be supported by public or nonprofit agencies but private commissions are not eligible, and a secured project site is required at the time of application. The program places special emphasis on supporting BIPOC and Native artists, LGBTQIA+ artists, women artists, immigrant artists, rural artists, and artists with disabilities. Eligible applicants are Minnesota-based individual artists with 2–10 years of generative experience. The application deadline was October 15, 2025.
The Local Cultural Council Program is a grant from the Massachusetts Cultural Council distributing $1,000 to $10,000 through a statewide network of 329 Local Cultural Councils (LCCs) representing every city and town in the Commonwealth. Each LCC awards funds based on local community cultural needs as assessed by council members. Eligible applicants include artists, nonprofits, schools, and organizations pursuing arts, humanities, and science projects. Applications are submitted directly to local councils and are typically due by October 16. Grants from most LCCs are reimbursement-based. Massachusetts Cultural Council funds the LCCs centrally, which then regrant to community projects.
