Northwest Michigan Community Action Agency’s Emergency Home Repair Program is designed to quickly and efficiently address critical repairs, ensuring your home remains safe and livable.
Our team can assist with: roof repair, electrical problems, plumbing leaks, and structural damage. Emergency home repair serves homeowners residing in: Antrim , Benzie , Charlevoix , Emmet , Grand Traverse , Leelanau , Missaukee , and Wexford Counties. Don’t wait protect your home and peace of mind today!
To qualify, homeowners must: Meet other funder-determined factors Be income-eligible, occupy the home as their primary residence Be current on their mortgage and property taxes Provide proof of active homeowners’ insurance, which must remain valid throughout Meet other funder-determined factors Kick Start your Application Don’t let unexpected issues in your home disrupt your life, discover how our emergency home repair program can provide prompt and professional assistance you need.

Homeowners must be current on their mortgage and property taxes. Proof of insurance must also be provided and remain active throughout the life of the loan. **Funding for cost of the repair is provided by a 0% interest loan with no monthly payments if the assistance is $2,501 or greater.
Loans are payable at transfer of ownership. Repairs under $2,500 offered as a grant with no payment required .
This Emergency Home Repair Program may be able to assist with repairs such as: Installing or repairing wells or septic systems Repairing or replacing heating units or water heaters Repairing or replacing a roof that is leaking or is damaging the interior Providing handicap accessibility to the home or bathroom Repairing or replacing dangerous electrical connections Other repairs that affect the well-being of the occupants Emergency Home Repairs funds are limited.

Interested Contractors: NMCAA’s Emergency Home Repair Program is seeking licensed & insured contractors across our service area.
This includes: general contractors, roofers, electricians, HVAC, etc. If you are interested, please reach out to HEESintake@nmcaa. net or call 231-947-3780. CHILL funding available in Charlevoix and Emmet Counties for Home Repairs including but not limited to Roof Replacement, Siding Windows, Plumbing, Electrical, Mechcanical and Insulation.
Water Assistance for 10 county region. LWUA funding can assist with water bills, sewer bills, in home plumbing repairs that contribute to high water usage.
