EMERGENCY RENT PROGRAM – SWHRA This program serves residents in the following counties: Chester, Decatur, Hardeman, Hardin, Haywood, Henderson, Madison, and McNairy. Emergency Rent Program- This program provides one-time monthly emergency assistance for eligible applicants with past due rent.
Income must be within 125% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines and the household must contain a qualifying member: a child under 6 years old, or an elderly person (60+), or a disabled person – (must be receiving disability benefits or have a doctor’s statement stating unable to work); or have a qualifying uncontrollable circumstance. Please contact your local SWHRA Community Service Center for more information.
