Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) Program is sponsored by City of San Diego. The Emergency Solutions Grant funding will go toward shelters for those experiencing homelessness and provide rapid rehousing and homelessness prevention strategies.

* ESG funds can be used by emergency shelter operators and other service providers for activities such as street outreach, homelessness prevention, rapid re-housing and data collection. * Each year, we receive ESG funding from the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). There are two programs in San Diego County currently funded with ESG funds.

* The County, as the Administrative Entity for the Continuum of Care Allocation, also receives funding from the State of California to carry out the State ESG program with one program in San Diego region.
