Grants - CharterCare Foundation Our grants benefit health and wellness programs throughout Rhode Island; examples include: Children’s Friend, Thundermist Health, Newport Mental Health, St. Elizabeth’s Homes, Meals on Wheels, Comprehensive Community Action Program, and Sojourner House to name a few. Grants are awarded to Rhode Island 501(c)3 organizations focusing on health and wellness for RI residents.
We encourage agencies to collaborate with other nonprofits in meeting their goals; we prefer not to fund salary and benefits as budget relief. We look for broad geographic representation as well as total number of clients served. Chartercare Foundation is responsive to immediate health care needs such as Covid 19.
