Energy Affordability Program (EAP) is sponsored by Con Edison. The Energy Affordability Program provides a discount on monthly energy bills for income-eligible customers who receive certain government benefits or whose household income falls below the area median for New York City.

You may still be eligible for a bill discount if your household income is below the area median for New York City and Westchester through the Enhanced Energy Affordability Program (EEAP) . See if you qualify for the EEAP.

That&rsquo;s why we advocated for the New York Enhanced Energy Affordability Program (EEAP) so even more people can save on their energy bills.

Now, households whose incomes are below the area median for NYC and Westchester may be eligible to receive bill discounts. To qualify, you must meet the following requirements: Be a residential customer. Receive electric and/or gas service from Con Edison.

Not be currently enrolled in the existing EAP and/or enrolled in a qualifying government assistance program. Earn below the household area median income (AMI) thresholds outlined in the table.

Please make sure you have the required documents, including: Proof of income for all household members from the past month, such as pay stubs, Social Security or pension statements, self-employment records, or other relevant documents.

You must submit a new application each year after your enrollment period ends to continue receiving program benefits. We'll remind you before your deadline by letter, email, and text.

If you&rsquo;re behind on your bills, you&rsquo;ll be enrolled once your outstanding balance is paid.
