Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Program is sponsored by U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of State and Community Energy Programs (SCEP). The Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Program (EECBG) provides funding to states, local governments, and Tribes to implement strategies that reduce fossil fuel emissions, reduce total energy use, and improve energy efficiency.

The Mississippi Industrial Energy Efficiency Program (MIEEP) is a grant from the Mississippi Development Authority, funded through U.S. Department of Energy State Energy Program funds, that assists industrial manufacturers in Mississippi with energy-efficiency upgrades to their facilities. The program helps reduce energy consumption and lower operating costs by supporting eligible retrofits such as lighting improvements, water heating systems, energy controls, HVAC upgrades, and other qualifying energy-efficiency projects. Grant awards cover up to 50% of total project costs, with individual awards ranging from $15,000 to a maximum of $50,000. Eligible applicants are industrial manufacturers operating in Mississippi. Approximately $500,000 in total program funding was made available through the most recent grant cycle, which launched in May 2023.
