Natural gas heat pumps move heat from an outdoor source to the indoors for more efficient water and space heating in commercial and residential uses. Commercial products are currently available and residential products are expected to hit the market as early as 2025.

Loans for High Efficiency Equipment Available through State Energy Loan Program The Idaho Governor’s Office of Energy and Mineral Resources is offering low‑interest loans to help Idaho homeowners complete energy‑efficiency upgrades . Customers who qualify for Intermountain Gas rebates may also be eligible for these state‑funded loans to support the installation of high‑efficiency equipment.

Receiving a State Energy Loan does not affect your eligibility for Intermountain Gas energy efficiency rebates.
While not all loan‑eligible items qualify for our rebates, we do offer incentives for equipment that meets both our rebate requirements and the State Energy Loan Program’s criteria.
