How to Apply | U.S. Geological Survey By National Geological and Geophysical Data Preservation Program Annual Program Announcement Grants Application Systems Annually, in the fall, a grant program announcement solicits proposals from state geological surveys to inventory geoscientific collections, create metadata for individual samples, enhance digital infrastructure, rescue data, and make the preserved resources publicly discoverable and available for research.
