Energy Affordability Program Statewide Solar for All/REACH Programs New Bill Discounts—See If You Qualify If your household income is below the area median for NYC and Westchester, or if you receive certain government benefits, you might qualify for a discount on your bill.

Energy Affordability Program (EAP) You may qualify for a discount on your monthly energy bill if you receive certain government benefits or your household income falls below the area median for New York City. Statewide Solar for All/REACH Statewide Solar for All (S-SFA) and Renewable Energy Access and Community Help (REACH) are New York State utility bill assistance programs.

To participate, you must be: Enrolled in the Energy Affordability Program (EAP)* Living in a disadvantaged community (DAC) If you meet both requirements, you’ll be automatically enrolled in the programs. There are no additional fees, monthly sign-ups, equipment installation, or maintenance required to receive your S-SFA/REACH bill credits—and we’ll continue being your electricity provider.

* You must be enrolled in a qualifying government assistance program. HEAP helps income-eligible New Yorkers heat and cool their homes. If you are eligible, you may receive one regular HEAP benefit per program year and could also be eligible for emergency benefits if you are in danger of running out of fuel or having your energy service shut off.

Once a HEAP grant is applied, you will be automatically enrolled in the Energy Affordability Program for 18 months. As a residential customer, you may qualify for up to $300 toward your bill annually per EnergyShare season. Have an active disconnect notice Have made at least one good-faith payment toward your bill within the last 12 months.
