Designed to help individuals turn their business dreams into reality, the fund provides the essential capital needed to start, grow, or strengthen a successful enterprise. The Enterprise Assistance Fund provides loan funding. The fund is meant to target the innovative and committed entrepreneur with the necessary capital to support or realize his/her dream of owning a successful business.
Currently, the BDU provides up to $250,000. 00 in Loan funding. Designed to provide the capital needed to start or grow a successful venture, the fund empowers individuals to turn their entrepreneurial dreams into reality.
Tailored for innovative and committed entrepreneurs Supports business startup, growth, or expansion Accessible through the Business Development Unit (BDU) A Citizen of Trinidad & Tobago, resident in Tobago for no less than three years Client must be a minimum of eighteen (18) years old, and maximum of 60 years. The Business must be physically located in Tobago Two forms of Valid Trinidad & Tobago ID.
Electronic Birth Certificates are NOT an acceptable form of ID Verification of address with a current utility bill Comprehensive Business Plan Police Certificate of Character not older than three (3) months Proforma Invoices for items to be purchased Two Character references and two business references Lease Agreement giving permission to operate or proof of ownership of property where the business will be conducted Original Documents for items to be used as security e.g., Vehicle: Certified Copy, Valuation, Insurance Fixed Deposits/ Shares/ Mutual Funds/ Bonds/ Stocks Large Equipment & Machinery Guarantor: ID Card, Proof of Collateral being offered and Contact Information.
