Enterprise Programme

Enterprise Programme is sponsored by The Prince's Trust. This program helps young people aged 18 to 30 years in the UK turn their business ideas into reality. It provides one-to-one support, business guidance and mentoring, assistance with business and cashflow plans, and access to grants and loans for starting and developing a business.

The program also offers up to three years of post-launch support.

If you think you’re eligible for the programme and ready to start a business, start a Live Chat with our friendly Customer Service team. They’ll take some details from you about yourself and your business, and they’ll tell you more about the programme. They’ll talk to you about any additional support you might need during the application process.

In Scotland and Northern Ireland, you can book yourself onto an information session directly. ## Join an Information Session If you meet our criteria and you want to move forward, our team will get you registered for a live, online Enterprise Information Session on Microsoft Teams. Our 1-hour Information Sessions are run once a week online, and we’ll book you on to the next available session that suits you.

Sessions are run Tuesday to Thursday at different times each week. At the Information Session, you’ll meet a member of our team and find out more about our business support. * We’ll give you the information you’ll need to decide if now is a good time for you to start your business.

* We’ll tell you about the support we offer at each stage of the programme. * We’ll talk about how much time you’ll need to dedicate to the programme and what we expect from you. * We’ll explain what to do if you need additional support when applying.

* We’ll talk you through how to complete our application pack, which you'll receive after attending the session. * You can ask any questions you have about the programme. If you want to join the programme, you’ll complete the application pack that we send you to tell us a bit more about yourself and your business idea.

You'll need to complete and return the pack within 5 days of receiving it.

In the pack, we’ll ask you to give us information including: * Some details about your business idea, including anyone else who is involved * Your relevant experience and qualifications * The areas of business you think you need support with * Your expectations for when you will start your business You’ll also be asked to make a statement of commitment to the Enterprise programme so that we can be confident you are committed to completing independent work (with our guidance) and communicating effectively with our team.

If you find it easier to talk about your business than to write it down, you can chat with a member of our Enterprise team as part of your application. ## Find out what support we can offer Once you’ve made an application, we’ll get back to you within a week to chat about the support we can offer you. If we aren’t able to offer you a place on Enterprise, we’ll explain why, and we’ll talk you through any other support we can offer you.

We can also signpost you to other organisations and resources that could be helpful to you, including our own online resources. If you’re offered a place on Enterprise, we’ll confirm your enrolment and invite you to our Business Essentials workshop, which runs weekly.
