Environmental Education Mini Grant | askHRgreen Environmental Education Mini Grants Get Your Students Involved! Bring environmental learning to life with askHRgreen. org Environmental Education Mini Grants.
Grants of up to $500 are available to help fund hands-on environmental projects for students and youth groups across Hampton Roads. Organizations working with youth in Hampton Roads Grants are limited to one per classroom or organization each fiscal year (July 1–June 30).
School recycling programs Projects should connect to environmental education topics such as: Source Water Protection for Drinking Water Litter Prevention and Cleanups Native Plant and/or Pollinator-Friendly Gardens Waste or Water-Use Audits Fats, Oils, & Grease Disposal and Recycling Properties of Fats, Oils, & Grease Impacts of Fast, Oils, & Grease on Wastewater Systems Flushables and Healthy Drains Applications are accepted year-round while funding is available, and there is no application deadline.
You can apply online or mail in a completed application packet. Grant funds may help cover project materials and supplies, but not ongoing operational or maintenance costs. Upon completion of your group’s project, you must complete the project summary form and submit copies of receipts and photos.
