State Energy Office | NC DEQ Energy Saver North Carolina Energy Saver NC provides energy rebates to income-eligible households for cost- and energy-saving home upgrades and appliances. Weatherization Assistance Program The weatherization program provides energy conservation and efficiency measures for eligible households to reduce energy burden and carbon emissions.
NC's Energy Security Plan assesses key threats, vulnerabilities, consequences and risks the state’s energy system faces as well as mitigation strategies and recommendations to minimize risk and bolster resilience. NC has a clear and vested interest to increase resilience and produce reliable and affordable clean energy. DEQ's State Energy Office is dedicated to ensuring a sustainable energy future for the residents of North Carolina.
The Office provides services and technical expertise focused on energy efficiency in the public sector, encouraging the growth and development of the state’s energy economy with the goal of making North Carolina a leader in the creation of energy jobs.
The Office also works to increase the use of renewable energy and alternative fuels and improve energy efficiency throughout the state, serving as the principal source of information for these energy areas.
