Press Release: Permitting Council Announces Additional $10 Million in Tribal Funding The Division of Environmental Services and Cultural Resources Management (DESCRM) partners with Tribes to ensure that their environmental, cultural, and historical resources are served and protected by federal laws and regulations, such as the National Environmental Policy Act, the National Historic Preservation Act, the Archeological Resources Protection Act, and the Native American Graves and Repatriation Act.
DESCRM also provides advice and technical assistance throughout Indian Affairs and the federal government to support environmental management and review, cultural resources management, and tribal community preparedness and resilience.
