Envision Enterprise Grants Vote for the 2026 Caring for Community Awards by August 30. Envision Enterprise Grants These grants, awarded each year through our partnership with the City of Charlottesville and Albemarle County Economic Development Authorities, support local small business owners with limited access to capital by providing funds for growth and expansion.
Were awarded to four local, small, and well-established businesses in FY2025. Each business received $10,000 through the Envision Enterprise Grants program. These grants are intended to help businesses facilitate expansion, whether that means hiring more employees, ordering supplies, investing in marketing, or other growth tactics.
*Based on the United Way of Greater Charlottesville 2024-2025 Envision Enterprise Grant program data The Envision Enterprise Grants bring together the City of Charlottesville and Albemarle County Economic Development Authorities to support business owners who have limited access to capital for growth and expansion.
This program supplements United Way of Greater Charlottesville’s existing partnership with the Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce by providing larger grants to more established businesses. The Envision Enterprise Grants program differs from the Business Development Grants because it is intended for more-established small businesses. Grant funds are higher to accommodate larger, growing businesses.
We aim to also provide additional visibility and marketing through our community engagement efforts in addition to these grants to offer a true ecosystem of support helping local businesses and entrepreneurs to thrive.
