Equipment Grant

Equipment Grant is sponsored by Pitch In For Baseball & Softball (PIFBS). PIFBS provides eligible groups with new and gently used baseball and softball equipment to expand or begin baseball and softball programs. The goal is to give every child the chance to experience the joy and benefits of playing sports.

Programs must cover shipping and handling costs.

US-Based Equipment Grant Application - Pitch In For Baseball & Softball Home For Applicants & Recipients Review Equipment Grant Process Guidelines US-Based Equipment Grant Application Get Started with Your US-Based Equipment Grant Application At Pitch In For Baseball & Softball (PIFBS), we are dedicated to empowering communities by providing the necessary equipment to expand or begin baseball and softball programs.

Our goal is to give every child the chance to experience the joy and benefits of playing sports. We invite eligible programs in the United States to apply for our Equipment Grant, aimed at making a direct impact on the lives of young athletes. PIFBS provides eligible groups with one equipment grant per calendar year.

The application process for US programs can take up to 3 months, and it’s recommended to apply 8 weeks before the season starts. Successful applicants will be contacted within 2 weeks, and programs must cover shipping and handling costs. An Impact Report is required post-season to stay eligible for future grants.

To apply, submit the Equipment Grant Application and respond promptly to follow-up questions. PIFBS will review and approve applications within two months, and approved grants will be shipped within 15 business days. For more information, please review the guidelines page for full details.

Inspect all equipment for safety. Recipient indemnifies PIFBS and its officers, directors, employees and volunteers from any liability or damages resulting from the use of any donated items. The decision to use an item is yours and yours alone.

Launder all donated clothing and uniforms before they are distributed (if applicable). Complete Recipient Impact Report, to be completed within six weeks of the donation. Please note that PIFBS reserves the right to deny future requests if this report is not completed.
