ITI SYSTEM EVALUATION | GMD2 Irrigation Technology Initiative Partnering to Improve Water Efficiency Through Innovation The Equus Beds Groundwater Management District No. 2 (GMD2) has agreed to participate in a new initiative with the Kansas Department of Agriculture, Division of Conservation (KDA-DOC). The Irrigation Technology Initiative (ITI) has two parts; 1) system evaluations and 2) cost share.
Part one, system evaluations will be offered to irrigators within District 2 who want to improve their water efficiency. These evaluations will be conducted by a Certified Irrigation Specialist. Part two, will provide funding for the water conservation system improvements that were identified in the evaluation.
The funding is for the implementation of identified water conservation best management practices and/or installation of water conservation equipment of up to $7,500 per irrigation system, with a limit of $15,000 per entity per year. To provide funding, the irrigation system evaluation must first be completed. This opportunity will be on a first-come-first–serve basis.

Specific Capacity (GMP/Drawdown), well depth, drillers log, SWL at drilling, pump test available from drilling, location of the screens, location of pump. Flow Rate GPM, PWL, PSI at Discharge. Energy use per hour.
