To apply for a grant from Erie County Community Foundation, please visit our online grants portal. Field of Interest Funds support a general interest or a specific geographic area in Erie County, Ohio. The Community Foundation's Grants Committee accepts requests and recommends projects for funding twice per year, in conjunction with the Community Grants program’s grant cycle.
To apply for funding from a Field of Interest Fund, please complete the Community Grants application. The Foundation does not make grants to individuals; distributions from the Field of Interest Funds are made to non-profit organizations only. Access to Recreation Fund Supports projects that provide access to recreational opportunities and facilities for people of all abilities in Erie County, Ohio.
Provides for the purchase of health care equipment by health care providers qualifying as public charities under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3). Provides medical services, educational rehabilitation and emotional support to children who might not otherwise receive them. Awards shall be made to providers of such services as may be approved by the Community Foundation.
Joseph P. & Jeanette R. Henry Fund This Fund is intended to benefit the residents of the Village of Milan and/or Milan Township.
Huron Playhouse Fund for the Arts Carries on the Huron Playhouse’s legacy of creative performing arts in Erie County and the surrounding area with a preference for supporting theatrical projects. Lake Erie Environmental Education Fund Supports projects such as environmental workshops for students, field trips to The Ohio State University’s Stone Lab on Put-In-Bay, or educational programs that address local environmental issues.
Sandusky YMCA Legacy Fund To foster active recreation within the Erie County community, and for the support, development, and implementation of scalable and sustainable projects and programs that are in keeping with YMCA values and historical priorities. Volunteer Center of Erie County Fund Supports the annual Lavender Award recognizing high-level service, leadership, and volunteerism by an organization.
Mary Ann Lavender was a staunch advocate of volunteerism in Erie County, was a founding member and first Executive Director of the Volunteer Center of Erie County.
