111 East 6th Avenue, Emporia, KS Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Kansas Housing Resources Corporation Emergency Solutions Grant Funding Available for Local Agencies Kansas Housing Resources Corporation Emergency Solutions Grant Funding Available for Local Agencies City of Emporia - News Flash Kansas Housing Resources Corporation Emergency Solutions Grant Funding Available for Local Agencies Emporia, KS — March 17, 2026 — The Kansas Housing Resources Corporation (KHRC) is offering funding assistance to eligible homeless service agencies through its Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) Program.
This program is designed to support efforts that address homelessness and improve access to safe and stable housing.
The ESG Program provides funding for a range of services, including: Street outreach to engage individuals experiencing homelessness Improvements to the number and quality of emergency shelters Operational expenses for homeless shelters Essential services for shelter residents Rapid re-housing assistance Homelessness prevention efforts All applicant agencies must participate in the Continuum of Care Coordinated Entry System.
Additionally, agencies may not require clients to participate in inherently religious activities as a condition of receiving services funded through this program. Applications must be submitted through a designated pass-through agency. For this funding cycle, the City of Emporia will serve as the pass-through agency for local applicants.
