Etsy buyers in the United States can round up their purchases to the nearest dollar amount at check out, and the change is donated to the Uplift Fund. These buyer donations, as well as direct grants from Etsy, will be distributed by Brooklyn Community Foundation DBA Brooklyn Org to nonprofit organizations across the country working directly with creators who need support building their own businesses. Brooklyn Community Foundation DBA Brooklyn Org is a public foundation that sponsors Donor Advised Funds for charitable giving, supports racial justice through its grantmaking programs, and works in partnership with generous donors to bolster vital nonprofits.
Brooklyn Community Foundation rebranded in 2023, and is now known as “Brooklyn Org” — but kept the legal name of the organization as “Brooklyn Community Foundation. ” It is the holder of the Uplift Fund and distributes donations to the nonprofits across the US that receive support from your donations. How will my donation show up on my bank statement?
