Innovate for Lebanon - University Innovation Grant is a grant from the European Union via the Lebanon Innovate Program that funds Lebanese universities to address real public-sector challenges through applied research and digital innovation. Each selected university receives approximately €22,500 to lead a full innovation cycle — from problem research through to a validated digital prototype. Two challenge tracks are available: an intelligent irrigation decision-support system for smallholder farmers (Agrifood & ICT) and a smart energy management platform for public institutions (Energy & ICT). Applications must be submitted through an established Technology Transfer Office, include at least two faculty researchers with relevant expertise, and demonstrate institutional capacity for EU grant compliance. The deadline is June 8, 2026.
EU-LAC Digital Accelerator Open Call #5 is a grant and acceleration program from the European Union that funds corporate-startup partnerships advancing digital innovation across Europe, Latin America, and the Caribbean. The six-month, fully EU-financed program provides acceleration services valued up to €30,000–€40,000 per partnership, including proof-of-concept support, business case development, international market entry, and investor readiness. Startups executing a PoC can additionally receive up to €10,500 in grants covering development (€7,000), travel (€2,000), and equipment transportation (€1,500). Eligible applicants are private-sector corporate-startup partnerships with partners from at least two of the three eligible regions; public entities are excluded. The application deadline for Open Call #5 is June 12, 2026.
Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) / Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Programs (Phase I) is sponsored by U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA). The USDA SBIR/STTR programs focus on transforming scientific discovery into products and services with commercial potential and/or societal benefit in agriculturally-related areas.
