eu/opportunities/eu4recovery-grants-for-projects-strengthening-role-of-civil-society-organisations-in-the-field-of-regional-recovery-in-ukraine/#) Latest news, Opportunities, Stories, Explainers, Publications, Opinion polls, Profiles, Blog, Activities # EU4Recovery: grants for projects strengthening civil society in the field of regional recovery in Ukraine As part of the EU4Recovery initiative, a flagship partnership between the EU and the United Nations Development Programme, the UNDP and its partners invite Ukrainian civil society organisations working in the areas of community recovery, strengthening social cohesion, ensuring access to legal aid, civic participation and other aspects of regional recovery to take part in the grant competition.
The grant comprises seven lots: **Lot 1. ** Strengthening cooperation and supporting civil society initiatives launched by internally displaced persons. **Lot 2.
** Supporting initiatives aimed at improving access to free legal aid and local courts, raising public legal awareness, developing a network of paralegals and overcoming barriers to access to justice. **Lot 3. ** Selection of a civil society organisation to strengthen community safety.
**Lot 4. ** Support for rapid-impact projects to strengthen inclusive recovery, resilience and social cohesion in communities. **Lot 5.
** Strengthening civic participation, advocacy and public oversight in local recovery and European integration processes. **Lot 6. ** Support for youth programmes in the areas of psychosocial well-being, community volunteering, active citizenship and economic self-reliance.
**Lot 7. ** Support for mobile youth work in communities — expanding young people’s access to educational, developmental and other opportunities. The projects will be implemented in partner communities in the Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson, and Chernihiv regions.
The size of each grant varies from US$ 15,000 to US$ 20,000. The deadline for applications is 31 August. The grant competition is being organised with the support of UNDP in Ukraine and the governments of Denmark, the Kingdom of the Netherlands and Switzerland, as well as within the framework of EU4Recovery, a flagship partnership between the EU and UNDP, co-funded by the Government of Sweden.
