European Mini-Slate Development Support | GFMD « Back to all Fundings European Mini-Slate Development Support Organisation: European Commission Funding Size: EUR 5,500,000 Eligibility Criteria: Independent European audiovisual production companies. Applicants must be legally established in a country participating in the MEDIA Strand of the Creative Europe Programme.
Type of Funding: Media Support Application Language: English Strengthen the competitiveness and market presence of independent European production companies. Support the development of high-quality audiovisual works with wide circulation potential across Europe and internationally. Enable collaboration and co-development across European borders.
Encourage talent development by including short films by emerging creators. Promote sustainable practices, gender balance, inclusion, and diversity in audiovisual production. Development of 2–3 audiovisual works per slate (fiction, creative documentary, animation) intended for cinema, TV, or digital platforms.
Optional inclusion of one short film by emerging talent. Strategic development of marketing, audience outreach, and distribution. Risk mitigation through project diversity within a slate.
