This Focused Policy Lab aims to support urban authorities in understanding and addressing the challenges of demographic shrinkage by identifying effective strategies to enhance competitiveness, improve quality of life, and strengthen territorial cohesion in shrinking cities. The Lab recognises that shrinkage affects the whole urban community — not only those who might leave, but also those who stay.
