Evan Cornish Grassroots Fund

Evan Cornish Grassroots Fund is a grant from Lincolnshire Community Foundation that funds locally run and managed voluntary and community organizations across Greater Lincolnshire working to improve wellbeing and ease distress and isolation. Priority areas include social cohesion, debt and welfare advice, older people's care, homelessness support, and food security. Smaller volunteer-led groups receive priority.

Grants are capped at £6,000 per year, with approximately £50,000 distributed annually. Eligible applicants must be locally managed and not branches of larger regional or national organizations, with funds spent within one year of receipt.

We are unlikely to fund organisations that are local branches/organisations of a larger regional or national organisation. Social cohesion : Community activities; access to essential services; support for people leaving Prison and their families, women’s groups, projects that contribute to strong and cohesive communities. Advice and Support: Debt counselling; Citizens Advice Bureau; welfare advice services, nutrition, and diet.

Older People : Care at home, integration projects; projects tackling isolation, loneliness and dementia, volunteer costs, sitter, and companionship. Homelessness: Interventions/support to assist vulnerable homeless people, e.g., accommodation, advice, food/clothing.

Food Security: Seed swaps, community growing schemes, advice about food sovereignty and sustainability We can fund local projects that encourage and/or assist those included in the target group. We can provide funding to cover equipment, travel, venue hire, telephone, stationery, refreshments, volunteer training and activities that meet an identified need. Whatever we fund must benefit your local community.

Grants are for a maximum of £6,000 per year. Payments are normally made in advance.
