Evangelization Activities Grants is sponsored by The Koch Foundation. The Koch Foundation funds evangelization activities throughout the world, with a mission to strengthen and propagate the Roman Catholic faith by providing grant support for a wide variety of evangelization efforts.

The Koch’s vision is “to strengthen and propagate the Roman Catholic faith by providing grant support for a wide variety of evangelization efforts. ” Grants are only given to Roman Catholic organisations that propagate the faith.

Grants are made for direct evangelization programs, preparation of evangelists, Roman Catholic schools in resource-poor areas, and where the schools are the principal means of evangelization, and a Roman Catholic presence in the media.

DIRECT EVANGELIZATION: The mission to proclaim the Gospel, which comes from a life-giving encounter with Christ and His Church, is provided by countless men and women who have dedicated their lives to sharing Christ with others. The Koch Foundation provides funding for Direct Evangelization programs and religious activities which directly support, strengthen, or spread the teaching of the Catholic faith.

Included in this funding priority are: Mass Media and Catholic Schools. PREPARATION OF EVANGELISTS: The Preparation of Evangelists is central to the mission of the Koch Foundation.

From education and religious formation of men and women for missionary congregations, to the spiritual development of lay leaders, we assist programs that prepare individuals for the work of teaching as Jesus taught and sharing the wisdom of the Catholic faith. CAPITAL EXPENDITURES: The Koch Foundation will review projects for renovation or reconstruction of facilities within the United States and its territories.

Projects must be able to show how the proposed renovation or reconstruction of facilities is needed to promote the Catholic faith. Projects with estimated costs exceeding $50,000 must demonstrate funding commitments of at least 50% of the total cost from sources other than the Koch Foundation and provide evidence of a signed construction proposal.

Monies pledged but not actually received or contractually committed do not satisfy this requirement. Applicants must be Catholic organisations as recognized by the Catholic hierarchy of Rome. They provide funding across the globe (i.e. Paraguay, Ukraine, Mexico, Nigeria, Uganda, Lithuania, Ecuador, Ghana, Belize).

The annual grant budget of the Foundation is around $7,000,000 for an average of 500 grants ranging from $1,500-$100,000 (average grant size $13,000). The Koch Foundation accepts Letters of Request from January 1st through May 1st of each year for funding the following year. LORs can be submitted via the Foundation’s website or by mail to the Foundation’s office.

LORs must include a brief description of the project, cost, location and contact information of the organization applying. If the Board of Directors of the Foundation is interested in the project, an application is sent to the applying organization. All applications must be returned within 90 days of receipt.

All applications are considered at the Foundation’s Board Meeting the following February. Notification of grant awards are mailed in March following the Board Meeting. Already a Rubnio Customer?
