TDA Grant Funding | Jacksonville Tourism DA, NC The Jacksonville Tourism Development Authority recognizes the value of increasing tourism efforts within the City to advance the quality of life for its Citizens and visitors. Each year the Authority approves funding for events, activities, or non-capital projects that will increase visitor stays in lodging facilities within the City limits.

More typically, these are events and festivals that are designed to bring in significant overnight stays. Sporting events should apply through the Sports Development Fund from which the Sports Commission can disburse funding on sports-related events. Find out more here .

These applications are for events being held between July 1, 2026, and June 30, 2027 . Who Can Apply for the Tourism Promotion Fund?

Ongoing or new festivals, events, and activities that are designed to produce overnight stays in Jacksonville and further the mission of the Jacksonville Tourism Authority improving the lives of our citizens and those who visit. This application is not for capital projects or funding for the operational support of an organization.

The following are examples of how funds may be used to promote tourism for the City: Funds are distributed to a marketing agency of the TDA's choice to promote the event, funds will not be given directly to the event organization.
