ABAC’s Stafford School of Business launches ‘Everyday Entrepreneur Program’ | Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College Stafford School of Business ABAC’s Stafford School of Business launches ‘Everyday Entrepreneur Program’ The Stafford School of Business at ABAC has launched the “Everyday Entrepreneur Program” through grant funding from the NACCE. The program officially began Sept.
1 and is designed to foster entrepreneurial thinking, creativity and innovation among SSB students. Through this initiative, students will have the opportunity to identify problems, develop business solutions, and pitch their ideas in a competitive environment. The program is led by professors Tatyana Pashnyak and Christy Blanchett, who will facilitate entrepreneurial activities and classroom pitch competitions.
Students will develop and present business concepts, with top-performing teams advancing through the competition. Grant funding will provide cash prizes for the winning student teams. In addition to monetary awards, the overall winning team will have the opportunity to represent ABAC in a University System of Georgia entrepreneurship competition, where it will compete against students from institutions across the state.
“This initiative is about helping students recognize that entrepreneurship is not limited to starting a company,” said Dr. Yasemin Atinc, dean of the Stafford School of Business. “Entrepreneurial thinking involves creativity, problem solving, innovation and the ability to identify opportunities.
Through this program, students will gain valuable experience developing and presenting ideas while building confidence in their ability to create positive change. ” The Everyday Entrepreneur Program aligns with SSB's commitment to experiential learning by providing students with hands-on opportunities to apply classroom knowledge to real-world challenges.
Students will strengthen critical skills such as teamwork, communication, problem solving, and business planning while engaging in the entrepreneurial process. The Stafford School of Business looks forward to celebrating the creativity and ingenuity of students as they compete, innovate and represent ABAC at the state level.
