eXtended Reality for Industry 5.0 is a grant from the European Commission through the Horizon Europe program that funds SMEs and mid-cap companies developing extended reality (XR) hardware components for industrial applications. The XR2Industry Open Call selects up to 7 developers integrating emerging technologies — including 5G/6G, IoT, artificial intelligence, edge computing, and microelectronics — to enable advanced XR experiences aligned with Industry 5.0 principles. Each selected company receives up to €500,000 over a 15-month staged support program covering individual mentoring, development, and integration phases, targeting solutions at Technology Readiness Levels 3 through 7. Eligible applicants are single SMEs or mid-caps legally registered in eligible European countries before the open call start date. Projects must demonstrate a European dimension contributing to sustainable development and Green Deal objectives.
