Digicel | EPIC Grant | Trinidad and Tobago EPIC is designed to empower community-based organisations to implement innovative projects that make a meaningful impact across Trinidad and Tobago. This year, the EPIC grant offers funding of TT$100,000 to ten (10) new projects focusing on three thematic areas: Environmental Sustainability, Resource-based Livelihoods and Technology/Digitalisation.
Extraordinary Projects Impacting Communities EPIC applications for 2026-2027 are now closed! Environmental Sustainability Projects that promote the responsible use and conservation to ensure a healthy environment for current and future generations. Resource -Based Livelihoods Initiatives that support income-generating activities grounded in sustainable use of local natural resources, empowering communities economically.
Technology/Digitalisation Projects that leverage technology and digital tools to improve service delivery, enhance skills, or create innovative solutions for community development. Applying for an EPIC grant is competitive. Here are the basic requirements to submit an application: Registration Documents : Only registered NPOs (inclusive of Public Schools and Faith - based Organisations) can apply for grant funding.
Applicants must show proof of registration. Governance : If shortlisted, applicants will have to provide copies of recent meeting Minutes and References from former funders. This provides evidence of the group's legitimacy and capacity to perform.
Annual Returns: As a registered NPO, you must provide a copy of your most recent Annual Returns. Banking Information: Applicants must have a bank account in the group's name. Budget: You will need to provide a realistic budget for project spend.

Applications are now closed! Extraordinary Projects Impacting Communities (EPIC) launched in 2016, aims to empower community organisations to create meaningful and sustainable impact. The program typically supports projects that address critical social, economic, or environmental challenges, with the potential to create lasting positive change in communities.
Past funded projects include play parks, community gardens, aquaponics systems, solar-powered hydroponics, refurbishment of community centres, computer labs, youth-friendly spaces, and upgrades to outdoor sporting facilities, among others. Since inception, over 154,000 persons have directly benefitted from EPIC grants. With TT$11.
2 million invested in 180 community projects span across Trinidad and Tobago. This year, EPIC is proudly co-sponsored by Shell Trinidad and Tobago. Shell has been in Trinidad and Tobago for over 100 years and has played a major role in the development of its oil and gas industry.

Gasparillo Organisation for Community Development This community based organisation used their funding to develop and equip four (4) homework centres in Gasparillo An EPIC partnership with Shell Trinidad and Tobago Shell Trinidad and Tobago is on board with a 3-year partnership. This is a joint investment of TT$3.
