Beverly, a pioneering attorney, Navy veteran, and former state legislator, was deeply committed to fostering cultural development in southeastern Idaho. Her legacy continues through the foundation, which sustains her passion for the arts and community enrichment.

The foundation provides two grant cycles annually, with application deadlines on May 1 for the Spring Cycle and December 1 for the Fall Cycle. Awards are generally issued in late June and January, respectively. Grants typically range from $3,000 to $10,000, though larger requests are considered.

Applications are reviewed by fund advisors Bruce Bistline, Alan Van Orden, and Jesse Robison, representing Boise and Pocatello. The foundation supports two major categories of arts-related funding. The first is for public-facing arts activities, including performances, concerts, exhibits, classes, and seminars designed to engage the broader community.

These grants may also cover expenses like instrument repair or acquisition, facility improvements, artist travel, and program production costs. The second category targets development opportunities for local artists through scholarships, training, and performance or exhibition support, both locally and elsewhere. Scholarships must be awarded through a non-discriminatory process that includes financial need considerations.

Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, public educational institutions, and government entities, including local governments and libraries. However, all applicants must be located within one of the following Idaho counties: Bannock, Bear Lake, Bingham, Caribou, Franklin, Oneida, or Power.

While not required, proposals that present a plan for long-term sustainability—such as through local support or ticket sales—may receive favorable consideration due to the high volume of applications received. Applications must be submitted through the Idaho Community Foundation (ICF) online portal.

Awarded grants span a period of just under one year, and recipients are required to submit a final report one year from their application deadline.
