Fabulous Festivals and Events is sponsored by Northern Development. The Fabulous Festivals and Events program provides annual grant funding to support unique festivals and events throughout the Northern B. C.

region that contribute to service sector revenues in the local economy.

Fabulous Festivals and Events | Northern Development Funding for 2026 has been fully allocated and the program is closed for the 2026 year. It will reopen on December 1, 2026 for 2027 events. The Fabulous Festivals and Events program provides annual grant funding to support unique festivals and events throughout the region that contribute to service sector revenues in the local economy.

The program supports festivals and events that promote Northern B. C. as a destination for tourism.

Projects undertaken through this program aim to improve the sustainability and expansion of hosting capacity of festivals and events throughout the region, increase tourism revenues and improve community quality of life. *Please ensure documents are downloaded and saved to your computer desktop prior to entering any information. If opened and completed with your internet browser, any information entered will not be saved.

Please note that all potential applicants must fill out and submit a pre-qualification form before you submit an application unless your festival or event has previously been approved for funding.

Applications must be submitted at least six weeks before the festival or event is scheduled to take place.
