## Town of Elizabeth Facade Grant Program - Enhancing Our Community's Charm, One Facade at a Time ##### Funding for the Facade Grant Program is determined by the Board of Trustees as part of the annual budget process. ##### Facade grants will not be held the first round in 2026 and will resume for the second round. See dates below.
Welcome to the Town of Elizabeth Façade Grant Program! This initiative aims to support building and business owners within our community in enhancing their building facade, contributing to the beauty, charm, and historical preservation of our town. ##### **Program Overview** The Façade Grant Program offers financial assistance to eligible properties within the designated boundary of the Town of Elizabeth.
This program is designed to encourage improvements that enhance the visual appeal and historical character of our community.
* **Award Amounts:** Ranging from $500 to $5,000 * **Matching Funds:** 25% match for properties on the local historic register, or 50% match for other properties within the boundary * **Eligible Improvements:** Exterior painting, lighting, signage, windows, doors, and more ##### **Eligibility Criteria** **Properties Eligible for the Facade Grant Program:** * Properties within the designated downtown boundary of the Town of Elizabeth * Properties listed on the local historic register **Meeting Requirement with Historic Advisory Board:** Before submitting a final application, applicants must submit their proposal to the Historic Advisory Board for discussion to ensure they align with preservation best practices.

**_ USDA Rural Development is dedicated to strengthening communities by helping people stay in their own home and keep it in good repair. If you own your own home in a rural area and need repairs, the USDA Rural Development Home Repair Loan and Grant Program") may be able to help. The program offers low interest loans and grants to help homeowners fix health and safety issues in their homes.
This program makes life-changing differences for homeowners that need critical repairs but lack the resources to make them.
* Up to 20 years to repay * For homeowners 62 years or older * Grants do not need to be repaid unless the home is sold within 3 years * Examples of home repair loan and grant use: * A homeowner fixed a leaking roof to prevent water damage and mold * A homeowner replaced broken pipes and leaks in their septic system * A homeowner replaced a broken furnace to keep the home safe and livable * An elderly homeowner installed a wheelchair ramp and widened doorways to be able to safely move into and around their home * Be the homeowner and occupy the house * Be unable to obtain affordable credit elsewhere * Have a household income that does not exceed thevery low limit")by county * For grants, be age 62 or older For more information contact: * Rae Mestas, 719-414-6039, rae.
